Description
Google is hiring a Software Engineer for its AI and Data Protection team to build and operate high-throughput, high-availability content analysis services. The role develops C++, Java, or Go server code; algorithms for detecting AI security risks and classifying sensitive information; machine learning and natural language processing models; data mining and synthetic data pipelines; and datasets for model training and evaluation. The engineer will also provide technical guidance and collaborate with research groups, partner teams, and customers. The position requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience, 8 years of software development experience, 5 years of ML design and infrastructure experience, and experience with distributed and large-scale data processing. Preferred qualifications include an advanced degree, extensive data structures and algorithms experience, and technical leadership experience. The listed US compensation is $207,000–$300,000 plus a 20% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
