Google is hiring a Software Engineer for its Access Transparency (AXT) team, which builds self-healing automation, advanced logging and distributed tracing, data pipelines, monitoring, and least-privilege enforcement systems for Google Cloud Platform. The role focuses on large-scale distributed systems, AI compliance, site reliability, and autonomous workflows, with responsibilities including backend development, system architecture, data analysis, and automation. The position requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience, at least two years of relevant infrastructure or distributed-systems experience, backend software development and data analysis experience, and experience with C++, Java, or Go. The listed compensation is $147,000–$210,000 USD plus a 15% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
