Description

Illumio is hiring a Software Engineer for its CloudSecure team to deliver enterprise-grade cloud security across AWS, Azure, and GCP. The role combines product quality and automation with quality engineering and infrastructure, including functional and integration testing, API and UI automation, performance and scalability testing, chaos engineering, CI/CD quality gates, and distributed-system reliability. The position requires 9+ years of automation experience in SaaS or cloud-native distributed systems, strong programming skills, and hands-on experience with cloud platforms, APIs, distributed services, and CI/CD. It is 5 days per week on-site in Sunnyvale, California.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
Required Previous Experiences: 9+ years building automation for SaaS or cloud-native distributed systems
Hands-on experience with Cypress, Playwright, Pytest, or equivalent automation frameworks
Experience designing automation for APIs, UI, and distributed microservices
Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, including networking and security constructs
Experience with CI/CD pipelines
Strong understanding of distributed systems, REST APIs, Kubernetes, and cloud-native architectures
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree
Experience with performance and load testing tools
Experience profiling application performance and identifying bottlenecks
Familiarity with observability platforms
Experience with chaos engineering tools
Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform
Understanding of network security, segmentation, firewall policies, and cloud networking
Experience testing enterprise-scale multi-tenant SaaS platforms
