Description

KBR is hiring an on-site Software Engineer for its National Security Solutions team to design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain secure full-stack applications. The role uses Java, Python, JavaScript, Angular, AWS, SQL, Hibernate, Git, Jenkins, and related tools, and requires an active TS/SCI clearance, a master’s degree in a relevant technical discipline, and at least 12 years of software engineering or information technology experience. The Virginia-area base salary is $205,500 to $251,200 annually, with medical, dental, vision, retirement, and other benefits.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related scientific or technical discipline
Required Previous Experiences: At least 12 years of relevant software engineering or information technology experience
Experience developing software using Java, Python, JavaScript, Angular, HTML, SQL, and Hibernate
Experience with continuous integration and delivery tools, Git, Jenkins, Gradle, or Maven
Experience with unit and integration testing, debugging, performance optimization, databases, and data engineering or analytics tools
Preferred Qualifications: Experience deploying and maintaining applications with Tomcat, Oracle, Windows, Linux, and AWS
Experience with AWS services including EC2, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, CloudFormation, and Auto Scaling
Experience with Elasticsearch and large-scale search, data indexing, or analytics solutions
Experience with Puppet, Nexus, SQL Developer, and Eclipse
Experience designing secure, scalable, and highly available applications in classified or mission-critical environments
Knowledge of infrastructure as code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar technologies
Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work across technical and non-technical teams
