Description

Kitware is hiring a Software Engineer to develop robust software solutions using C++ and Python for computer vision, machine learning, and artificial intelligence projects. The role involves translating research and prototypes into production software, working with researchers and engineers, contributing to open-source projects, and supporting customer-facing field tests and demonstrations. The position is based at Kitware's Clifton Park, New York headquarters and requires a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field, strong C++ and Python experience, software development knowledge, and an active TS/SCI security clearance.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with relevant project experience outside of an academic setting, or a master's degree in Computer Science or a relevant subject area.
Required Previous Experiences: Experience using both C++ and Python.
Experience with software development processes and environments, including Visual Studio, gcc, clang, make, CMake, or CDash.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience using GitHub or GitLab for code reviews, documentation, and release management.
Ability to learn AWS technologies such as EC2, EBS, S3, and CloudWatch.
Ability to learn DevOps tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Chef, Puppet, Vagrant, and Packer.
Interest and experience in open source software development.
An active government security clearance of TS or higher.
