Microsoft is hiring a Software Engineer for its Fabric Mirroring team to design, build, and operate a next-generation service that transfers large volumes of data from source systems to Microsoft Fabric with minimal latency. The role focuses on advanced data movement and replication, extensible and maintainable code, debugging, architecture, testing, reliability, security, and cross-team collaboration. Preferred qualifications include a master’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field, 6–8+ years of software engineering experience, and expertise in distributed systems, cloud computing, system architecture, performance and scalability, and security and reliability engineering. The typical U.S. base pay range is USD $119,800–$234,700 per year, with higher ranges for the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area.
