Description

Scorebuddy is hiring a temporary Software Engineer to cover a nine-month maternity-leave period on its Customer Engineering squad. The role handles customer and internal bug reports and feature requests from triage through delivery, communicates with technical and non-technical stakeholders, identifies software trends, and contributes to product roadmaps. The engineer will work across VueJS 3, PHP, Python, relational and NoSQL databases, AWS, and CI/CD tooling, with a hybrid work arrangement based in Dublin.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience
Required Previous Experiences: 3 to 5 years of professional software engineering experience in a product environment
Commercial experience with PHP, ideally using the Slim framework
Commercial experience with modern JavaScript, particularly VueJS 3
Hands-on experience with relational databases and familiarity with MongoDB
Experience with Python, ideally using Flask
Working knowledge of AWS for development and debugging
Experience with CI/CD tooling, specifically Jenkins or GitHub Actions
Preferred Qualifications: Exposure to Go
Interest in AI and/or NLP development
Experience in a contact centre, quality management, or customer support domain
Exposure to LLM tooling or applied machine learning in a production setting
