Description
The Principal Software Engineer with Test Equipment will design, develop, integrate, and maintain object-oriented software applications, libraries, and instrument drivers for weapon-system product development and on-site factory support. The role involves developing engineering and production equipment and systems, troubleshooting software and test equipment, deriving software requirements, collaborating in multidisciplinary engineering teams, and leading and mentoring junior software engineers. Required qualifications include a STEM bachelor's degree or related advanced degree, at least five years of relevant experience, experience with C++, C#, Java, Python, Visual Basic, Visual Studio, Windows, debugging tools, and a U.S. government security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required. Preferred qualifications include laboratory instrumentation, computer hardware, driver development, data protocols, UML, software development lifecycles, configuration management, Azure DevOps or GitHub, and technical leadership experience.
