Toast is hiring an entry-level software engineer to work on engineering teams responsible for modules of its restaurant platform. The role involves building and maintaining scalable web and mobile applications, developing AI-powered tools, optimizing performance, contributing to product design and code reviews, and implementing secure software development processes. Candidates must be currently enrolled in an academic program and have knowledge of at least one listed technology, including Java, mobile development, databases, RESTful microservices, web front-end basics, or machine learning and generative AI. The position follows a hybrid work model.
