Toyon is hiring an intermediate Software Engineer for an on-site role in Ashburn, Virginia. The position focuses on designing and delivering modern, server-based Java applications, with a roadmap toward Kotlin and opportunities to expand into front-end development, relational database design, and system architecture. The engineer will collaborate with engineering and client stakeholders across requirements, architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, demonstrations, and training. The role requires U.S. citizenship, a Department of Defense security clearance, a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, Java 17+ expertise, SQL, and experience with Git, Maven, and a modern IDE. The annual base pay range is $90,000 to $150,000, with medical, dental, vision, retirement, and other benefits.
