The role covers architecture and design, system scalability and reliability, cloud service operations, code reviews, and mentoring engineers. Candidates need at least five years of professional software development experience, five years of programming, five years of leading design or architecture, experience leading design or architecture, and a bachelor's degree; AWS also lists full software development life cycle experience and a master's degree as preferred qualifications.
