Description

LogicGate is hiring a Software Engineer: Platform to build and maintain the backend services, APIs, and data layers powering Risk Cloud. The role owns a defined platform domain, develops Java, Kotlin, and Spring Boot features, writes unit and integration tests, debugs distributed services, manages relational and advanced data stores, and collaborates in Agile sprints. It is available remotely or in Bellevue, Washington, or Chicago, Illinois, with hybrid work arrangements, and offers a base salary of $105,000 to $130,000 per year plus variable compensation, equity, and benefits.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: 3–5 years of professional backend, platform, or systems engineering experience in a high-growth environment
Experience developing with Java, Kotlin, or a comparable enterprise JVM language and Spring Boot
Experience building and maintaining production-grade REST APIs
Experience with relational databases, complex queries, schema migrations, and query performance
Experience independently debugging complex distributed backend services
Experience using AI coding assistants in a normal development workflow
Preferred Qualifications: Experience or fluency with Go
Familiarity with Neo4j, RabbitMQ, or Redis
Experience building multi-tenant B2B SaaS applications
Understanding of event-driven architectures, microservices, or production-scale containerized applications
