Description
Software Engineer, Backend for Mercari Group’s Accounting Platform (Merpay), responsible for developing and operating backend systems and microservices that support reconciliation, settlement, accounting integration, and internal controls across the group. The role centers on Go and GCP, with close collaboration with accounting, finance, product, payments, and risk/compliance stakeholders to design reliable, scalable data and payment processing systems, improve operations, reduce technical debt, and leverage AI for productivity. The position is full-time, based in Roppongi, and requires Japanese language ability (CEFR B2 or above).
