Description
WeaveGrid is hiring a Backend Engineer to independently design, implement, and deploy software for its Distributed Energy Resource Management System. The role involves building Python backend systems, relational databases, and microservices; integrating device manufacturer APIs; monitoring battery status; scheduling charge or discharge plans; ingesting utility signals; and supporting production reliability, rollouts, alerting, and on-call operations. The engineer will collaborate with product managers, business stakeholders, and other engineering teams, contribute to technical direction and code quality, and work with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, GitHub, Jira/Confluence, and CircleCI. The position offers a base salary of $116,000–$165,000 plus equity and benefits, with remote availability during core Pacific hours and a two-day-per-week San Francisco office arrangement for Bay Area candidates.
