Lumana is hiring a Software Engineer - Cloud to build and maintain the distributed backend and cloud platform supporting real-time video streaming, recording, AI processing, and large-scale multi-tenant data systems. The role focuses on JavaScript/Node.js and potentially Go, with Google Cloud, distributed systems, APIs, microservices, data pipelines, and production reliability. Additional Information

Minimum Education: University degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering with a computing specialization, or a closely related field
Required Previous Experiences: 5+ years of software engineering experience focused on backend or cloud systems
Hands-on experience with JavaScript/Node.js backend systems
Experience building backend services in cloud environments with cloud provider services and SDKs
Experience building APIs and microservices architectures
Familiarity with real-time systems or event-driven architectures
Preferred Qualifications: Google Cloud Platform experience
Experience with video streaming pipelines or cloud media infrastructure
Experience with streaming or data systems such as Kafka, Pub/Sub, or MQTT
Knowledge of Kubernetes and orchestration systems
Understanding of Docker and containerization
Exposure to AI/ML pipelines or data platforms
Background in security best practices, including IAM, encryption, secure APIs, and zero trust
Experience with NestJS or Go backend development
