Description
The Cloud Platform Engineer will design, develop, and maintain Ford’s cloud platform and automation tooling, enabling sharded multi-cloud deployment, eliminating single-cluster blast radius risk, and supporting GCP migration. The role involves building cloud-native solutions for automated shard provisioning, maintaining CI/CD pipelines, and managing Kubernetes, Terraform, observability, and related infrastructure. Candidates need five years of software or cloud engineering experience, production Kubernetes experience, strong Terraform and GitOps skills, monitoring experience, and automotive or related industry experience; GCP, API gateway, and service mesh experience are preferred.
