Google is hiring a Software Engineer for its Cloud Storage team to develop and maintain a planet-scale distributed storage system. The role involves writing product and system code, participating in technology design reviews, reviewing and improving other developers’ code, contributing documentation, and triaging and debugging issues affecting hardware, networks, or service quality. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience, two years of C++ software development experience, two years of experience with large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, or storage architecture, and experience with cloud computing platforms or SaaS products. Compensation is $147,000–$210,000 USD plus a 15% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
