Muon Space is hiring a hybrid High Performance Compute Engineer to design, train, evaluate, and deploy low-latency image-processing and machine-learning models for ground and flight systems. The role owns the image and ML data engineering foundation, containerized cloud and edge deployment, algorithm benchmarking, cloud serving integration, and verification and validation. It requires a technical degree, at least three years of image-computation or ML-systems experience, strong PyTorch and Python skills, and the ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance. The position is based in San Jose, California, with three days per week on-site, and pays $212,000–$233,000 plus equity and benefits.
