Neo4j is hiring a Software Engineer for its Core Networking Engineering Team to develop and improve the Neo4j network server modules, drivers, APIs, and proprietary Bolt binary protocol. The role involves designing new protocol features, implementing server-side code, supporting community projects, writing blog posts, and contributing to training and events. Candidates need at least five years of practical Java experience; experience with network protocols, packet analysis, distributed systems, API design, Netty, concurrency, asynchronous programming, databases, graph databases, JAX-RS, Docker, and systems-oriented languages is preferred. The position is hybrid.
