Nascent is hiring an onsite Web Scraping and Data Acquisition Engineer in Montreal to build and operate production-grade web scraping and data acquisition systems. The role is roughly half software engineering and half operations, focusing on Rust-based scrapers, anti-bot evasion, proxy and network-layer infrastructure, distributed fleet monitoring, observability, and agentic workflows for data source discovery and troubleshooting. The engineer will collaborate with analysts and researchers to maintain trading-grade data quality and freshness across heterogeneous cloud, bare-metal, and mixed operating-system environments.
