HUD is hiring a full-time Software Engineer, Data Quality to build full-stack tools and backend services for reviewing tasks, inspecting agent trajectories, checking graders, and investigating data quality issues. The role creates dashboards and metrics, connects quality workflows with task creation and evaluation, improves internal tools for production use, and works with QNI and research engineers to scale quality processes. Candidates should have strong software engineering fundamentals, Python, and a modern web stack such as TypeScript and React, with experience building end-to-end products. The position is based in San Francisco or Singapore, with remote candidates eligible for 70–80% overlap with those time zones, and offers visa support for strong candidates.
