Description
Apple is hiring a Database Systems Engineer for its AI & Data Platform Data Services SRE team. The role develops and operates engine-agnostic platform tooling for provisioning, backup and restore, observability, self-service, data migration, and cross-datacenter infrastructure across PostgreSQL, CockroachDB, Couchbase, OpenSearch, MongoDB, Oracle, and Apache Doris. Responsibilities include production SRE and performance engineering, hybrid-cloud migration design, troubleshooting, documentation, and compliance with China-based infrastructure requirements. The position requires a computer science or related degree or equivalent experience, 7–12 years in a site reliability or infrastructure-focused role, hands-on production experience with at least two listed database technologies, and strong automation, troubleshooting, and programming skills.
