Description
Apple's AI & Data Platform Data Services organization is hiring a Database Systems Engineer for its Data Services SRE team, which manages search and analytics database fleets across Couchbase, OpenSearch, and Apache Doris. The role supports platform tooling, monitoring, incident management, performance tuning, service management across bare-metal, virtualized, and containerized platforms, hybrid-cloud data migration and ingestion pipelines, documentation, and compliance with China-based data residency and regulatory requirements. Candidates need a BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field, at least seven years of Site Reliability Engineering or infrastructure-focused experience, hands-on production experience with one of the listed databases, automation and cloud infrastructure exposure, strong troubleshooting and technical-writing skills, and knowledge of Python or Go.
