Description
Apple's AI & Data Platform Data Services organization is hiring a Database Systems Engineer for its Data Services SRE team. The role supports transactional database fleets across Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and CockroachDB; develops platform tooling for provisioning, backup and restore, observability, and self-service; supports performance tuning and service management across bare-metal, virtualized, and containerized platforms; and executes hybrid-cloud data migrations with validation, rollback support, and compliance with China-based data residency and regulatory requirements. The position requires a computer science or related degree or equivalent experience, 3–5 years in a site reliability or infrastructure-focused role, production database experience, automation exposure, troubleshooting ability, and knowledge of Python or Go.
