Description

SmartThings is hiring a Full Stack Software Engineer for its Developer Center team to own the developer documentation site, write API and integration documentation, maintain documentation standards, and contribute features to the Developer Center. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, at least two years of combined software engineering and technical writing experience, and proficiency with documentation frameworks, HTML, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Node.js, and CI/CD. It is a hybrid position based onsite three days per week in Minneapolis, Minnesota, with a base salary of $97,000 to $132,000 and a 15% annual target bonus.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
Required Previous Experiences: At least 2 years of combined software engineering and technical writing experience
Experience with Docusaurus or comparable documentation frameworks
Experience with Node.js and Express or Next.js frameworks
Experience owning a build and deploy pipeline involving CI/CD, previews, and static site builds
Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with Java or Kotlin
Experience building with AI and authoring content consumed by AI agents
Experience with SEO, generative engine optimization, web accessibility, and Google Analytics
