Merck’s Enabling Functions Data Office is hiring a Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain enterprise data and AI applications, pipelines, and platform components. The role focuses on translating business needs from functions such as HR, procurement, and legal into secure, governed, scalable solutions using Python, Spark/PySpark, Snowflake, AWS, and Palantir Foundry. It involves stakeholder collaboration, data platform ownership, CI/CD, automated testing, data governance, privacy, security, compliance, and occasional travel within Europe as part of a distributed international team.
