Smartleaf is hiring a generalist software engineer to work across its UI, JavaScript, and backend systems for investment portfolio management. The role involves gathering requirements, designing solutions, implementing scalable features, and improving the application architecture as the company scales to one million accounts. The engineer will work with product management and users, understand complex workflows, and contribute to internal tools and new technologies. The position is hybrid, with Boston-area candidates working in-office two days per week initially and candidates outside Boston traveling to Boston periodically.
