Zoox is hiring a Fleet Simulation Software Engineer to build and improve a self-service simulation environment for data scientists and ML engineers. The role focuses on connecting simulation, data, and fleet-orchestration algorithms; filling gaps in the simulation infrastructure; creating generalizable mechanisms to measure algorithmic impact on fleet efficiency; and establishing evaluation and data-driven decision-making practices. Candidates should have production software development experience, Python fluency, experience building tools for non-specialist users, familiarity with version control, and experience designing metrics and actionable insights.
