Description

Lockheed Martin Space is hiring an experienced professional software engineer for an onsite full-time role supporting space-domain software capabilities. The position focuses on full-stack development for operational planning, sensor optimization, and satellite constellation optimization, using Java, JavaScript, Node.js, CI/CD, containerization, cloud tools, and Agile methods. An active Top Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship are required, and the work is performed onsite at a Lockheed Martin facility.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, another engineering discipline, or equivalent experience
Required Previous Experiences: Recent experience in full-stack software development with Java, JavaScript, and Node.js
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated builds, and configuration tools
Experience with containerization and cloud environments such as Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Rancher, AWS, Azure, OpenStack, or OpenShift
Active Top Secret security clearance and U.S. citizenship required to start
Preferred Qualifications: Three years of experience developing software on the Whiskey program
Whiskey program maintainer experience
API design and development experience
Microservices architecture experience
JavaScript UI library experience with Lit, React, or Angular
Lit front-end experience
CesiumJS experience
HTML/CSS experience
Quarkus backend Java experience
Helm charts and infrastructure as code experience
Database management systems knowledge, including PostgreSQL or MySQL
Space domain familiarity
Strong communication and collaboration skills
