Google is hiring a Software Engineer for its Singapore-based Google Pay team to lead the technical execution of growth initiatives and own the full lifecycle of features spanning backend infrastructure, data processing, frontend mobile and web systems, and monitoring. The role includes mentoring junior engineers, leading scalable technical designs, improving code quality, and using DevAI and agentic coding workflows. Applicants need a bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience, at least five years of software programming experience in C++, Java, Python, or Go, and experience with software products, design, and architecture.
