Description

Higharc is hiring a Staff Software Engineer to lead the technical architecture and delivery of its Home Design Experience application, a browser-based 3D home-design tool. The role focuses on rapid prototyping, interactive 3D workflows, AI-supported and agentic experiences, application architecture, production delivery, performance, reliability, testing, and mentoring other engineers. The position reports to the VP of Engineering, partners with product and platform teams, and is entirely remote with travel to scheduled team meet-ups in U.S. hubs.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: Architecting, building, and shipping substantial web applications with responsibility for technical decisions through production
Hands-on experience with TypeScript, React, modern web application architecture, application state, API integration, performance, and maintainability
Making technical decisions independently in partnership with a product or design lead
Helping less experienced engineers deliver through implementation, mentoring, and technical guidance
Preferred Qualifications: Hands-on experience with Three.js and browser-based 3D applications, especially design or CAD tools
Enthusiasm for AI-forward development and AI-supported or agentic product experiences
Judgment about immediate product versus reusable work and experience collaborating across application and platform teams
Growth mindset and ease with ambiguity in an evolving team and product area
