Description

The Software Engineer will create and maintain data workflows and automation pipelines using Apache Airflow, building reliable, scalable, and observable orchestration solutions for data engineering, analytics, and operational use cases. The role requires Linux, Bash, Python, Java, Apache Airflow, Apache Spark, containerization, and Git experience, along with an active TS/SCI with Polygraph and a relevant degree or equivalent experience. The salary range is $160,000-$185,000, with employee healthcare premiums paid and other benefits.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Master’s degree in computer science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus three years of software engineering experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
Required Previous Experiences: Experience using the Linux CLI and Linux tools
Experience developing Bash scripts to automate manual processes
Recent software development experience using Python and Java
Experience using Apache Airflow for DAG design, scheduling, operators, sensors, and workflow orchestration
Experience using distributed big data processing engines, including Apache Spark
Experience with containerization technologies, including Docker, containerd, and Podman
Experience with Git source control
Preferred Qualifications: Experience using the Atlassian Tool Suite, including JIRA and Confluence
Familiarity with AWS cloud services and infrastructure
