Affirm is hiring a Software Engineer for its Collections team to build scalable backend solutions that manage loans through the delinquency phase, support recovery strategies, and maintain high availability and reliability. The role requires backend systems experience, Python or Kotlin, distributed-systems knowledge, AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes, along with on-call participation and strong collaboration skills. It is a contract of employment based remotely in Spain, with base pay of 57,000–87,000 EUR per year and visa sponsorship available.
