Microsoft is hiring a Software Engineer, IC3, for its Commercial Engineering and AI organization. The role designs, builds, operates, and supports distributed services and microservices on Azure, integrates AI capabilities, and owns features end to end. Responsibilities include performance optimization, data validation, security and privacy compliance, on-call incident resolution, DevOps practices, and engineering mentorship. The position requires a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field and at least two years of technical engineering experience; cloud-scale or AI-enhanced software engineering experience is preferred. The typical U.S. base pay range is USD 102,100–202,200 per year, with higher ranges for the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area.
