Description
Microsoft is hiring Software Engineer II and Senior Software Engineer candidates to build and evolve Azure Monitor backend systems. The role involves designing, implementing, testing, deploying, and operating highly available distributed services and automation for large-scale telemetry workloads; building APIs, tools, and subsystems for telemetry collection, routing, storage, and data access; integrating machine learning-based anomaly detection and data validation; improving reliability, security, observability, and incident response; and collaborating with partner teams on infrastructure and AI-assisted engineering practices. The position requires a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field and at least two years of technical engineering experience with coding in C#, Java, .NET, or Python, plus Microsoft Cloud background-check eligibility. The typical U.S. base pay range is USD 102,100–202,200 per year, with higher ranges for the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area.
