Alarm.com is hiring a Software Engineer II to contribute to its SPX and Device Platform domains, building and maintaining backend APIs, event pipelines, device lifecycle management, and partner-facing integration components. The role is an independent individual-contributor position focused on high-quality production code, testing, debugging, project ownership, incident response, and collaboration with engineering, quality, product management, and operations teams. It requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, 2–3 years of backend software engineering experience, and familiarity with RESTful APIs, distributed systems, event-driven processing, and AI-assisted development. The position offers a base salary of $88,300–$122,500 USD and requires employees to work from the office four days per week.
