Microsoft is hiring a Software Engineer – Data to build and operate petabyte-scale commercial data pipelines, curated semantic models, KPIs, and AI-native agents that convert raw operational and business signals into actionable intelligence. The role spans ingestion, large-scale distributed processing, data modeling, telemetry, governance, security, and agent orchestration across Azure Fabric, Databricks, Synapse, Cosmos DB, and related AI technologies. Candidates need 3–5 years of software or data engineering experience, strong programming and SQL skills, and experience with large-scale data platforms and curated data models.
