Description
Affirm is hiring a Software Engineer for its Streaming team to support data infrastructure, event-driven architecture, stream processing, and the design and scaling of backend systems. The role involves breaking projects into tasks, collaborating with product, design, analytics, and engineering teams, monitoring metrics and availability, and participating in on-call and growth activities. Candidates need at least 1.5 years of software engineering experience, backend development experience, proficiency in Python or Kotlin, familiarity with distributed systems and technologies such as AWS, Kafka, Flink, and Kubernetes, and strong communication skills. The position is remote for eligible Canadian provinces and offers a base pay range of CAD 133,000–183,000 per year, along with health, wellness, and other benefits.
