Affirm is hiring a Software Engineer II, Test Platform Engineering, to build and maintain scalable frontend and backend test automation solutions, integration and end-to-end test frameworks, CI pipelines, and related infrastructure. The role focuses on improving test execution time and stability, writing technical specifications and ADRs, supporting engineering teams, contributing to the company’s test strategy, and participating in an on-call rotation. It requires an East Coast location, at least three years of test automation experience, proficiency in TypeScript and Python, and experience with Playwright, Pytest, CI pipelines, Docker, and AWS. The position is remote-first with flexibility, with base pay of $165,000–$225,000 per year in California, Washington, New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut, and $146,000–$206,000 per year in other U.S. states.
