Microsoft is hiring an Azure Resiliency and Recovery Engineer to own customer-impacting technical problems and improve the migration, protection, recovery, availability, disaster recovery, and operational experience of mission-critical workloads in Azure, including sovereign and air-gapped environments. The role involves investigating complex service issues, analyzing system and operational data, removing blockers, influencing technical direction, and improving observability, incident readiness, resiliency validation, and recovery processes. Candidates need a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field, at least two years of technical engineering experience with coding, and an active U.S. Government Top Secret clearance with SCI access. The typical U.S. base pay range is USD 102,100–202,200 per year, with higher ranges for the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area.
