Microsoft is hiring a Software Engineer II for its Azure AI Platform air gapped engineering team to design, build, and operate secure, scalable cloud services supporting Azure AI Platform workloads in air gapped and sovereign environments. The role covers full-stack AI infrastructure, automated deployment and operations, observability, testing, resiliency, root-cause analysis, and collaboration across engineering teams. Candidates need a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field plus at least two years of technical engineering experience, along with the ability to obtain the required U.S. government Top Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship verification. The typical U.S. base pay range is USD 102,100–202,200 per year, with higher ranges for the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area.
