Microsoft is hiring a Software Engineer II for its combined DevOps team supporting Microsoft Defender and sovereign and government cloud services. The role focuses on building scalable and reliable cloud services, improving engineering systems, automating service-scale features, investigating and deploying production fixes, and participating in an on-call rotation. Candidates need a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field plus at least two years of technical engineering experience with coding, or equivalent experience, along with U.S. government Top Secret clearance with SCI access and U.S. citizenship verification. Preferred qualifications include CI/CD, Git, Windows and Linux systems, Kubernetes, Azure DevOps, GitHub, and large-scale production-service experience.
