Microsoft is hiring a Software Engineer II for its Azure AI Platform air gapped engineering team to build secure, scalable, mission-critical AI infrastructure for Azure Machine Learning, Azure AI Services, Azure OpenAI, and Microsoft Foundry. The role involves AI-native development, coding, architecture, testing, automation, deployment, reliability, security, privacy, and customer-facing experimentation. Candidates need a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field and at least two years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, plus the ability to obtain the required U.S. Government Top Secret clearance with SCI access. The typical U.S. base pay range is USD 102,100–202,200 per year, with higher ranges for the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area.
