Microsoft is hiring a Software Engineer II for its Windows 365 and Azure Virtual Desktop organization. The role contributes to the full software development lifecycle, including architecture, implementation, deployment, service operations, reliability, security, automation, and DevOps processes. Responsibilities include building secure distributed infrastructure, collaborating with internal partner teams, participating in on-call and site reliability rotations, and driving engineering excellence. Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field and at least two years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, or equivalent experience. Preferred qualifications include additional software engineering experience, technical design skills, communication skills, and experience developing online services.
