Google is hiring a Software Engineer for its WAN Core team to work on the B4 private SDN backbone. The role involves analyzing production data, designing and testing features for availability, scaling, and network performance improvements, debugging traffic engineering and admission control, and collaborating with team and partner teams. The position requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience, software development experience, large-scale infrastructure or distributed systems experience, and C++ programming; networking, distributed systems, and performance optimization experience are preferred. The Ireland location offers €100,000–€102,000 plus a 15% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
