Google is hiring a Software Engineer, Infrastructure to build software-defined infrastructure that automates traffic demand planning, capacity forecasting, network design, and deployment. The role provides technical leadership, designs and implements scalable systems, collaborates across teams, and drives engineering excellence. It requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, 8 years of C++ programming experience, 5 years of software product testing and launch experience, 5 years of large-scale infrastructure or distributed-systems experience, and 3 years of software design and architecture experience. Preferred qualifications include advanced degrees, technical leadership experience, matrixed-organization experience, and experience with systems integration, distributed systems, machine learning, networking, or security. The listed compensation is $207,000–$300,000 USD plus a 20% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
