Google is hiring a Software Engineer, Infrastructure to lead high-impact projects and provide technical leadership for a distributed team. The role involves influencing engineers, aligning cross-team goals and timelines, managing project priorities and deliverables, and designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and enhancing large-scale software solutions. The position requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, 8 years of software development experience, and substantial experience in large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, networks, compute, storage, hardware architecture, software testing, and software design and architecture. Preferred qualifications include an advanced degree, extensive data structures and algorithms experience, technical leadership experience, and experience in complex matrixed organizations. The listed compensation is $207,000–$300,000 USD plus a 20% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
