IEX is hiring a Software Engineer Intern to join its Software Engineering team and work on high-performance, low-latency systems supporting an exchange and new product offerings. The intern will collaborate with technology and operations teams, contribute to C++ and Java frameworks, messaging APIs, and data structures, and assist with order entry, market data distribution, post-trade processing, system monitoring, and reporting. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in progress in a relevant field, computer science fundamentals, proficiency in a systems-oriented or analytics language, and familiarity with LLM-assisted coding tools; experience with data modeling, statistics, or machine learning is a plus. The position is based in New York and pays $45.00 per hour, with bonus and equity eligibility.
