Description
Amazon is hiring a Software Engineer for its IVS Stream Management team to design, build, and operate distributed systems that manage live-stream sessions and keep the underlying infrastructure healthy under bursty, unpredictable load. The role owns service technical direction, backend reliability and scalability, observability, automation, cross-team integration, code reviews, architecture discussions, on-call rotations, and post-incident investigations. Candidates need at least five years of professional software development experience, including programming, system design or architecture leadership, mentoring or engineering-team leadership, and familiarity with live-video concepts; Golang or C/C++ experience is preferred. The position is based in Seattle, Washington, with a base salary of $168,100 to $227,400 annually.
