Description

Apple is hiring a Java Software Administrator for its SAP Technology team to support the operation, security, scalability, performance, and software lifecycle of enterprise Java applications and workloads. The role includes vulnerability and security remediation, patch coordination, monitoring, batch-processing troubleshooting, production support, documentation, operational reporting, and automation using Python, REST APIs, Terraform, Ansible, and related enterprise technologies. Candidates need at least four years of experience in Java, enterprise application architecture, distributed systems, CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and web services, plus a bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Required Previous Experiences: 4 years of experience in Java and Java Enterprise technology applications architecture, design, development, and support.
4 years of experience designing and developing scalable enterprise-level backend solutions.
4 years of hands-on programming experience with Java, Spring, multi-threading, REST, data caching, database schema design, and data access technologies.
4 years of experience rolling out distributed, large-scale, low-latency web applications.
4 years of experience with automated CI/CD pipelines for rapid and reliable software releases.
4 years of experience creating and managing infrastructure with Terraform or Ansible.
4 years of experience with Apache Tomcat and Kafka.
Preferred Qualifications: 4 years of experience crafting and architecting distributed systems, concurrent programming, and data structures.
Understanding of security concepts and building reliable, safe distributed applications.
Extensive hands-on experience with Oracle or HANA databases.
Familiarity with vulnerability scanners, code analysis tools, and intrusion detection systems.
Ability to take ownership of work activities and complete them efficiently.
Effective written and verbal communication with technical and non-technical teams across regions.
Ability to multitask and support multiple concurrent projects.
